
Born in East Stroudsburg on March 11, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Frank K. and Eliza (Male) Eilenberger. She graduated from East Stroudsburg High School, class of 1949. Mary obtained a position at Ronson Lighter Corporation, Delaware Water Gap, where she worked for 28 years until she acquired a position with Drackett Corporation, Monroe County, where she was employed for 10 years. Mary concluded her working career at East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg.
She was an active member of the former Grace Lutheran Church, East Stroudsburg, where she volunteered for the Outreach Committee of the Church and was a past council member. Mary was also a former member of the East Stroudsburg Elks Lodge # 319 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed skiing, motor boating, sailing and most recently playing cards.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her first husband, Richard V. Gilliland and her second husband, Enos Siptroth; brother, Ray Eilenberger; and a sister, Beulah Kresge.
Surviving is her son, Scott T. Gilliland and his wife Jennifer of Swiftwater; grandsons, Randall Gilliland and his wife Jennifer of Lancaster, and Joseph Gilliland and his wife Cadi of Morgantown; sister, Berta Super of Bangor; and brothers, John M. Eilenberger and his wife Dorothy of East Stroudsburg, and Clyde Eilenberger and his wife Katherine also of East Stroudsburg; great grandchildren, Alissa and Blake Gilliland; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday February 10, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 139 Craigs Meadow Road East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Pastor John W. Harding officiating. Interment will follow Prospect Cemetery, Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg.
