Mary Jewell

Born in Portland on February 25, 1921, she was the only daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Chisdak) Moreken and graduated from Portland High School. Mary spent most her life in the Portland area. She was a loving house wife and mother.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Portland and at one time volunteered as a grounds keeper.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband, Robert Jewell, brothers, Michael, Charlie, Steve, and John.

Surviving is her son Robert Jewell and his wife Cathy of Venice, FL; daughters, Jean Jewell of Los Angeles, Calf, and Kathryn Aide, of East Stroudsburg; grandchildren, Maggie Jewell, Robert Aide and his wife Amber, Jonathan Aide and his wife Becki, Bill Aide and his wife Lisa; great grandchildren, Tyler Aide, Aaron Aide, Jillian Aide, Mason Aide and Sawyer Aide.

Grave side services will held on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. in the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Delaware Ave, Portland, with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey J. Walsh officiating. Interment will follow the service.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
