Shirley Jean Gregg

Born in Charleroi Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Isabele (McKay) Gregg.

Shirley was a clerk typist for Military Car Sales for 23 years, a hairdresser for 20 years, and worked for AHRC on Long Island for the recreation department. She loved crocheting and made beautiful gifts for family and friends for 65 years which won her many awards. She was a strong woman raising her 6 children basically on her own. Keeping her home together, so everyone always had a place to be when needed. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are children Cheryl Bailey of Southampton NY, Robert Bailey of Methuen MA, John Bailey of Orlando FL, Debra Downard-Erdman of East Stroudsburg PA, Arthur Downard III of Charleston SC, Donald Downard of Mt. Sinai NY; grandchildren Dominick, Kristen, Jennifer, Kathryn, Tatum, Meghan, and Dylan.

A graveside service will be held on Friday November 18, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Prospect Cemetery 501 Prospect Street East Stroudsburg PA with Father Carmen J Perry of The Church of Saint Luke officiating.

Shirley donated to many causes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American lung Association, Mary Wood University 2300 Adam Avenue, Scranton PA 18509
