Stephen Golas, Sr., 56, of Pocono Lake, PA passed away on December 27, 2010. Born on May 28, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son to the late Stella Golas.

Stephen was a US Naval Engine Mechanic, having served in the Vietnam War. During his time in the military, he earned the National Defense Service Medal.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah (Mathers) Golas, of Pocono Lake, PA; 3 children, Michelle Golas and her significant other, Chris Polnasek, of Pocono Summit, PA, Stella Petrocelli and her husband, Michael Petrocelli of Bethlehem, PA, and Stephen Golas, Jr. and his significant other, Melissa Lemond of Stroudsburg, PA; 5 grandchildren, Matteo, William, Alyssa, Madison and Vincent. Princess, the four year old Karelian Bear Dog, will miss her best friend.

There will be a greeting period on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home in East Stroudsburg. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 30 at 4:00 p.m. at the Lanterman & Allen with Father Leonard from St. Matthew’s Church officiating.
