

Born in Baltimore, MD; on February 13, 1957, he was a son to the late Thomas A. Sr. and Barbara (Cole) Griffin and was raised in the Baltimore area. Thomas graduated in the class of 1975 from Houston-Woods High School, Baltimore, MD; and enlisted in the United States Army. Thomas was a career military man, serving his country in the Persian Gulf. He was currently active in the National Guard. Thomas was currently employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot as an inventory specialist.
Tom loved to cook, play chess, listen to music and spend time with his family. His most recent joy was spending time with his granddaughter Madison.
Surviving in addition to his granddaughter, are his loving wife of 23 years Kim Nelson Griffin, daughters, Tyler C. Griffin and Troi M. Griffin, sons, Thomas A. III and Trent N. Griffin all at home in Bushkill; sisters, Darlene Price of Baltimore, MD; Myra O’Neal and her husband George of Lawton OK; Wanda Griffin Edmands and her husband Alvin of Randallstown, MD; and Donna Day and her husband Bernard of Baltimore, MD; In-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday October 6, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
A public visitation will be Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. until noon,time of service in the Wylie Funeral Home, 9200 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD21133. Interment with military honors will be at 2:30 P.M. in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
