Reverend Alvin Ray Cobb was born April 22, 1920 at Apache, Oklahoma and died July 15, 2017 at the age of 97 years. Alvin was the 8th of 12 children of Nora and Thomas Cobb; and is the last surviving sibling. He served in WW II in the European and Japanese sectors. After an honorable discharge, he graduated from Oklahoma City University and Perkins Theology School at Southern Methodist University.
Alvin was a Methodist minister, a Veterans Administration chaplain, a Nursing Home Administrator and a ministerial staff member at St. Luke’s Church. Throughout his life, Alvin was a caring, nurturing person.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Nancy, his daughter, Carol and three step-children, Stephen (Anne); David (Sandi); and Melissa (Tom) and numerous nieces and nephews; Proceeding Alvin in death were his parents and siblings; Pauline Cobb, his first wife; and their son, Victor Cobb.
