Bennie H. Tipton was born November 20, 1929 in Sasakwa Oklahoma, to parents Savilla “Cricket” Houston Harrod and Allen Harrod. She was the third of six children. Bennie was a graduate of Sasakwa High School and went on to complete two years of college.
Bennie was a homemaker and former head of bookkeeping for Kirkpatrick Oil Company in Oklahoma City.
She married Donald Oyln Tipton, now deceased, on March 15, 1963.
Bennie's family includes her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Obermeyer of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Wesley Harrod (deceased) and Roger Harrod of Konawa, Oklahoma; three sisters; Allene Girton of Edmond, Oklahoma, Sherry Warrick of Wellston, Oklahoma, and Susan Blanton of Chandler, Oklahoma; along with many nieces and nephews, all dear; and many dear cousins.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
