After 20 years of active duty, he then became a civil service employee & worked for 25 years on Tinker AFB. During that time, he was able to pursue his life-long ambition of earning a college degree, & graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1969 with a degree in Business Administration. During his last several years, Dale contributed significant money to various charitable organizations which provided health care & education to Native American children.
