Carolyn Brazell

Carolyn Ann Brazell, 76, of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 9. She will be remembered as a kindhearted, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, ‘Grandmommie’ and friend. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 12, 1948, to Fredrick and Lavetta Bowen and was one of three children. Carolyn graduated from Central High School and was a hairdresser before eventually graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in education and child development. She married Donald Brazell on April 2, 1968, in Oklahoma City.

Carolyn enjoyed watching her students grow over her thirty-year career in teaching. When she wasn’t teaching, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren as well as attending church, going to bible studies, playing cards, camping, boating, going to the movies or just sitting on the lake shore to have lunch.

She is survived by her brother Randy Bowen and his wife Neva Bowen of Moore, Oklahoma. Two children Donald Brazell Jr. of Lantana, Texas, his wife Sarrah Brazell, and their two children Karlie and Brooke. Her daughter Andrea Moore of Edmond, Oklahoma her husband Chris Moore, and their two sons Braydon and Cade. As well as many other family members, nieces, and nephews.

She is with loved ones who proceeded her including her parents, husband, and sister as well as extended family and friends. She will be missed tremendously by all. She made this world a better place.

Come-and- go visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family to greet friends from 4:00-6:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow to Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
