Sara and Claire,  These pictures of Dave and your family are really tremendous.  I had no idea he pulled off the James Bond attire at his wedding.  From the dashing photos of him as a young lad to his younger pictures with Mary to his proud delegation of orders on the soccer field (where Sara appears less than amused)....and of course the later pictures just appearing as a doting father, it was very touching.  He will be missed greatly and has had an impact on everyone he's met without a doubt.  Thanks for sharing.

I had the privilege of working with your Dad for a number of years.  He never diminished me though I was just a lowly bean counter.  He brightened many a dreary day for me.  How blessed I was to know him and how blessed you girls were to have such a father as he.  I know the void will be great for you as with all who he touched. I pray God blesses you both with peace and comfort in the multitude of memories he provided you. Thank you for sharing your daddy with so many!

Loved working with you, because you are an excellent engineer but especially enjoyed talking to you about the myriad subjects that occupied your active mind.  You never shied from a topic but, of course, you really knew something about everything. I know your family will miss you along with all of us here at Leidos. May God be with you and your family.

Dear Sara, I am so sad I didn't get to meet your dad when he was in Denver. I know from your stories of him how much you adore him and what a wonderful sense of humor and personality he had. I feel like B and I would have become good friends with him. We are grateful he gave you your amazing sense of humor and British charm. You know that if Arsenal starts winning a lot, he has a hand in it from heaven! We love you and are so sorry for your loss.

My sincerest condolences to the Smart family.  I worked with David for the past seven years.  While we didn't work closely together he was always friendly and always stopped to chat awhile.  He was a determined and hard worker with an admirable work ethic.  I enjoyed working with him and will miss our chats.

David, you are a wonderful man who will be truly missed.  With open arms you accepted me into your family.  Not only am I blessed to have married your beautiful daughter Claire, but also to have had you as my father in law.  I will never forget the laughs we shared and the words of wisdom you provided.  The driving range will not be the same without you.

Terry and I want to express our heartfelt condolences to David's family. 
People come in and out of our lives, but some seem to stay in our thoughts.  David was like that for Terry and me.  I met Dave in Los Angeles in the early 90's.  We were working on the Wilshire Station of the Metrorail project.  He was truly a breath of fresh air on that job.  He was the electrical engineer on site.  His professionalism and leadership were greatly appreciated by the "bloody conduit bashers" who worked that project.  
Dave had a great sense of humor and always had an interesting opinion on any topic. 
I've heard it said recently that people may forget what you say, they may forget what you do, but they'll remember how you make them feel.  Dave always listened to your input, and he made you feel as though your efforts were appreciated.
I thank the Lord our paths crossed, and I am proud to know him.

you were not just a great colleague but a great friend first. I will always cherish time spent with you at the office, during numerous business trips, and football watchout parties. 
Your great, witty sense of humor and ability to entertain everybody present will never be forgoten.
