

Diane Leigh Ginzl passed from this life on 25 June, 2014 at home in Oklahoma City at the age of 68. Diane was born June 14, 1946 in Cushing, OK to Virgil and Virginia Davis. She grew up in Chandler, OK and graduated from high school there. Diane spent time working at the Oklahoma City Police Dept.in the records department, as an AVON Representative in Edmond, as a salesperson for Towel Outlet in Oklahoma City, and for the Edmond Schools in the Cafeteria as a baker at Angie Debo where she retired.
Diane met her husband Harry in February 1966 at a gas station in Spencer where he was moonlighting while stationed in the Air Force at Tinker. They were engaged in June and married October 21st 1966.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, and her loving son Chad. She is survived by her spouse Harry Ginzl, Daughter Jamie Ginzl-Webb, grandsons Taylor and Cameron Ginzl, grandson Wyatt Webb, and step-sister Donnell Delashaw and husband Mike, brothers-in-law Richard and wife Joan Ginzl, Tom and wife Martha Ginzl, Bruce and wife Sukey Ginzl, sister-in-law Ginger and husband Jim Dolberg, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Diane was an active member of the Edmond MOMS Club (Modern Organized Mother’s Study) holding various offices and as an AT&T Telephone Pioneer Partner. She loved her arts and crafts and enjoyed putting together things for the house and friends. Diane enjoyed traveling, camping, and her grandchildren. Cooking was her “therapy”.
Harry and daughter Jamie would especially like to thank all of the folks at Heartland Hospice Service in Norman Ok for all of their great service and comfort provided to Diane in her time of need. Especially these wonderful people, Kayla Redmon, Keri Leesekamp, Jayleen Fowler, Lisa Beauchamp, Ginger Foster, Tracy Sebring, Brad Hyde, Chaplin Shawn Reidy, and Dr. Swisher.
In lieu of flowers, make donations in her name to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund 2802 North Kickapoo, Shawnee, Ok 74804, or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond from 4pm-7pm, Monday, June 30, 2014.
Services will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with burial at a later date at the Military Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
