Glen Arthur Fullbright passed away March 21, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born August 29, 1949, to Wilbur D. and Lorraine O. (Barker) Fullbright, in Laverne, Oklahoma, he graduated from Brookline High School, then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from West Texas State University. He was married to Peggy Jeanne Peck (1971-1994), with whom he had two children, Toby and Traci, then to Sherry Ann Helvey (1999-2017), with stepsons Eric, Erin, and Evan. He was preceded in death by his parents and will rest with them in Beaver Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver, Oklahoma.
Glen was an oil and gas landman in Oklahoma for more than 40 years, excelling especially at land title examination. He mentored countless landmen and helped start many productive careers. He was a consummate sports fan, and growing up mostly in Boston, a die-hard Red Sox fanatic. He held season tickets to Oklahoma State basketball for decades and to the Oklahoma City Thunder since inception. He enjoyed the camaraderie of watching games with friends and family, creating lasting memories. He was an enthusiastic, supportive, and extremely proud father. If you spent any time with Glen, you no doubt heard about his kids’ achievements and adventures.
One of Glen’s proudest accomplishments was summitting Mount Kilimanjaro (19,341’) in Tanzania, Africa, as a side endeavor on a mission trip, at age 46. Of even greater value to him was the gospel outreach efforts of this trip and others. He participated in or financially supported mission programs in Africa, India, Haiti, and most recently Roatan, Honduras. He was a passionate follower of Christ and the effect of his contributions is an enduring legacy of converted souls.
Many people will miss Glen for different reasons — his witty sense of humor, quick intelligence, business acumen, loyal friendship, and unwavering support — but at the center of it all was his generous heart. He was a giver; he helped those in need. He was a witness for Christ and loved those around him.
He is survived by brothers, Karl R. Fullbright and Lynn (Preston) Fullbright of Reno, Nevada, and Dale N. Fullbright and Cynthia J. (Kluge) Fullbright of Lynchburg, Virginia; daughter Traci L. Nyberg (Fullbright) and Brent Nyberg of Edmond, Oklahoma; son Toby G. Fullbright and Karla A. (Hester) Fullbright of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and grandchildren Ashley A. Nyberg, Tyler A.
