

Hurley Franklin Eck was born to Waldo D. and Waneta Beatrice Eck on April 2, 1942 at home on the Reynolds farm in Ringwood, OK. Hurley enlisted in the US Air Force in 1961 and was honorably discharged after four years. When he returned from the military he met Betty Lou Miller of Covington and had a daughter, Angela Kay Ross. In April 1965, Hurley met and married Linda Joyce Nolan of Ponca City. To this union four sons were born, Hurley DeWayne, Jerry DeLayne, Jeffrey Scott, Darin Gene Eck. Hurley has lived near Guthrie for the past 10 years being close to family and friends. Hurley was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Beatrice, one brother, Larry Dean, October 2000 and one sister, Bertha DeLois Miles, April 2005. He is survived by his five children, Tim and Angela Kay Ross of Oklahoma City, Hurley DeWayne and Jenny of Pueblo, CO, Jerry DeLayne and Karen, of Oklahoma City, Jeffrey Scott and Darin Gene of Edmond, OK, five grand children Kyle Layne Eck, DeLane Childers, Derrick DeWane Childers, Shelby Ana Celine and Daniel Jackson Ross; three sisters, Berniece Yvonne Miles and husband, Carl Miles, of Edmond, Lillie Mae East and Waneta Ruth Creel, of Guthrie. Nine nieces and nephews, Connie Sorrell, Don Miles, Lonnie Miles, Cindy Huerta, Marvin Miles, Gerald Miles, Beverly Saunders, Kenneth Miles, Daniel Creel, 20 great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece and nephew. With Hurley’s passing on December 20, 2010 he will be missed by those who knew and loved him. We will always keep him dear to our hearts and memories. The viewing and wake will be held from 6-8:00 pm at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S Broadway, Edmond, OK on December 22, 2010. The funeral will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Baggerley Funeral home, 930 S Broadway, Edmond. His interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma. Officiating for the service will be Brother Mike Gatlin and Brother Wayne Murphey.
