

His parents were Alzie and Addie (Tillis) Ingle. He was one of five children. James graduated from Edmond High School in 1963. After high school, he joined the Army. He served in the National Guard for numerous years. James earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Central State University. He was the first in his entire family history to graduate from college. He was proud of this accomplishment.
Compassionate and devoted to D’Ann (Wildey) for 54 years. He was a great source of strength and stability to D’Ann. He was an excellent father and loved his wife and children more than anything in the world. He took great pride in his family and was always very devoted. James was blessed with two daughters, Britt and Stacy.
James began his career in civil service in the late 1960s at Tinker Air Force Base, working in the shop. He remained at Tinker AFB, working his way to GS-15 as a program manager over the B-52, B1, and B2 Bombers. After 30 years of civil service, he retired in 2000 and consulted as a government contractor with SAIC. James, never one to sit around, then obtained his real estate license and did that for a few years. James retired for good and enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and five grandsons. He loved spending time at all the children’s sporting events. He was always committed to those he knew and loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, and daughter Britt Lewis.
James is survived by his wife D’Ann Ingle; daughter Stacy Ingle Butler and husband Kevin Butler; son-in-law Stephen Lewis; 5 grandsons: Jarrick Ingle, Jake Henry, Jaxon Ingle, and Parker and Riley Lewis; and his sister Jayne Ware.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Baggerley Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Baggerely Funeral Home.
