Born on February 20, 1943, in Lake Village, Arkansas, John lived a full and adventurous life. He called many places home—including Texas, New Mexico, and California—before settling in Oklahoma. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1964, a period that shaped his strong sense of duty and resilience.
After his service, John began a new chapter with the love of his life, Glynda K. Ramsey. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and faith. John’s career was as diverse as it was successful, from his work as an oil field executive to leading security teams. After retiring, he pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating several local businesses, including the well-loved Gold Penny Inn Bed and Breakfast.
John was a man who cherished the simple joys in life—movie nights with Glynda, backyard barbecues, and time spent with family, especially his grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.
He is survived by his sons: John Reppond and wife Kristine of Hermitage, Tennessee, and William Reppond and wife Krista of Guthrie, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Kennedy, Liam, Ramsey, and Lincoln.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife Glynda, his parents Ollie Edward Reppond and Moree Hartsell Carlton, and his granddaughter Andrea Reppond.
John’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
