

The oldest of two sons of JD & Mildred Jones. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Jones, his wife of 50 plus years, his children Suzi Wilson & husband Alex Wilson, Ian Jones & wife Teresia Jones, Jonathan Jones II & wife Dedra Jones, Jason Jones & his wife Felicia Jones, Leigh & husband Paul Kandetzke. His grandchildren, Cody North, Joshua Jones, Brian Jones, Collin Wilson, Gordon Wilson and future wife Makaila Schmidt, Amber Jones, Athena Jones, Paul Kandetzke Jr., Ashleigh Kandetzke, and Emily Kandetzke who will deeply miss him.
Preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Dwayne Jones.
Dale graduated from Pauls Valley High School where he competed in wrestling. He went on to Oklahoma State University where he graduated with an Electrical Engineer degree. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and one of his favorite assignments was Aviano, Italy. Where he enjoyed many travels with his family. He completed a Masters in Communication when he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi Mississippi. Throughout his Air Force career he worked as a computer analyst and programmer. He finished his working career in a civil service capacity with the Okies F16 Guard Unit at Tinker Air Force Base. Where he was known as "The Wizzard" for his excellent computer knowledge and skills.
After retiring, his attributes of attention to detail, exactness and focus on perfection made him an exceptional woodturner. He has received several awards for his outstanding woodworking pieces. His other hobbies included a great love of fishing, traveling with his family which included camping and exploring State and National Parks. He also loved playing cards and games with family and friends.
We find comfort in knowing that Pop's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home, located at 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034, on January 16, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm. The service will be available via live stream.
