AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Joshua Kyle Silvey

19 avril 1987 – 25 janvier 2021
Avis de décès de Joshua Kyle Silvey
AUX SOINS DE

Baggerley Funeral Home

Joshua Kyle Silvey left our world on January 25th, 2021 at the age of 33.

As a son, brother, husband, father and friend, the impression that remains in his passing is hard to comprehend and even harder to understate. The best memories of Josh reflect his youthful mischief, his willingness to serve, and his capacity to love unconditionally. Through his natural magnetism and charm he had an ability to place himself into people’s lives while making them (eventually) not care that he forced himself into their orbit.

Before graduating high school from Crescent, he gained significant friendships, none more so than with his muse, his greatest love and life partner, Kayla. His tenacious spirit netted him many more friends through his college years at Oklahoma State and Wichita State Universities, enough for a full complement of groomsmen for his marriage to Kayla in June of 2010. Many knew him as the best worst influence a friend could have. Those who shared his enjoyment of craft beer, music, pizza, skateboarding and adventure of literally any kind quickly found a friend Josh.

His passion for people extended to his career. With unwavering conviction and compassion he pursued work with children and individuals overlooked and dismissed by wider society. Josh’s nature and love is reflected in this work as he poured his heart and soul into elevating their place in the world.

Josh often spoke excitedly about his desire to become a father, a reality that he nervously but eagerly stepped into with the arrival of his son Finn in November of 2018 and his son Robin in the summer of 2020. All the experience in love, service, and fun that Josh gained through his life informed this role and gave him a natural ability as a father.

He was loved in life and will remain eternally so in death. Josh is survived and most fondly remembered by his wife, Kayla; children, Finn and Robin; sister, Sydney; mother, Shirley; and father, Bruce.
