Joy Byram was born January 19, 1934 in Ringling, OK to Lonnie and Alma (Campbell) Byram. Joy graduated from Edmond High School in 1951. On September 4, 1954 she married Bennie Alvin Neidy. Ben and Joy lived in Edmond, Tulsa and Chandler before moving to Clinton in 1965 where they lived until 1979. While in Clinton, Joy was employed at Public Service Company of Oklahoma and the city of Clinton, where she served as secretary for the chief of police. In 1979 they moved to Foss Lake and in 1995 Joy moved to Edmond. Joy is survived by two sons: Keith Neidy of Chickasha and Brad Neidy of Clinton; Daughter-in-Law: D’Linda Neidy of Clinton; seven grandchildren: Tobi Neidy, Norman, Taylor Neidy, Edmond, Paige Neidy, Clinton, Tawn Neidy, Ben Neidy, Presley Neidy and Gabriella Neidy, all of Chickasha; one sister: Kay Crown and Brother-in-Law: Joe Crown of Edmond; and several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her husband: Ben Neidy; her parents: Lonnie and Alma Byram; three brothers: Lynn, L.D. and Jay Byram.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, OK followed by burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.
