

Funeral services for LaVerne F. Laster of Oklahoma City will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel. Her brother, Rev. Robert Ingram will officiate. Interment will be in Yukon Cemetery.
LaVerne died on Monday, November 18, 2013 at The Fountains of Canterbury in Oklahoma City. She was born on September 2, 1928 in Konowa, OK to her parents Clifton and Nellie (Stokes) Ingram. LaVerne was a loving, caring and generous person in every way. Her gardening and quilting will be fondly remembered by everyone that knew her. She was a member of the Putnam City Baptist Church. Her true joy in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. We love you Grandma, all in the world and then some.
She was predeceased by her husband Jerry Laster; parents Clifton and Nellie (Stokes) Ingram; brothers Alvin and Oscar James Ingram; sister Katherine Young.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws David and Kay, and Charles and Becky; sister Marie Brumley; brothers and sister-in-laws Robert and Freda, Edward and Linda, Doyle and Barbara, Glen and Sandy, and Claude and Charlotte Ingram. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica Laster, Nicole Bauske and Matt, Julie Parker and Chris, Matthew Laster, and Adam Laster and Faith. Great-grandchildren Cecilia and Alice Bauske, Aidan Davis and Braden Laster.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Gardens at Canterbury for their loving care this past year. They, too, have become extended family and are very much appreciated. The family would also like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice for their care and guidance these last few weeks.
