Lynette Lunsford, a dedicated mother and friend of many, passed away Oct. 27, 2022, at the age of 67 in Oklahoma City.
A stranger to no one, Lynette was the life of every party or event. Her infectious laughter could often be heard before she could be seen. Clients and customers became her friends and her friends became her family. Everyone who knew Lynette felt her big heart and giving nature. To know Lynette, was to know love.
Lynette had an incredible heart for service and enjoyed volunteering for various causes and campaigns in the community.
Lynette never did things halfway. She was a visionary woman who had to throw a couple elbows to create her own space. Lynette was unapologetically her own woman, who fiercely created a life for herself and her son. It would be wrong to say that Lynette lost her battle with breast cancer. No matter how sick she was, Lynette faced cancer with that same determination and perseverance–she was a happy warrior. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong with resilience, faith and a cheerfulness only she could muster.
Lynette is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed by all who were influenced by her life. She is survived by her son whom she adored and considered her greatest achievement, Matthew Blubaugh of Edmond, Oklahoma.
A celebration of Lynette’s life will be held Sunday, October 30 at 5:30 p.m. The funeral will be Monday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond followed by a 2:00 p.m. burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Flowers and cards can be sent to Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
