
Mary Louise Haney Hall, 86, passed away suddenly on Saturday August 6, 2011. She was born September 5, 1924 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Dorothy Evelyn and L.T. Haney of Okmulgee which is where she grew up and graduated high school. She graduated from Christian College for Women in Columbia, Missouri with an associate degree in music and studied voice with Joe Bentonelli at the University of Oklahoma where she became a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She worked as communications department head at the Phillip Petroleum refinery in Okmulgee in the 1940’s. And she was choir director and vocal soloist at the First Presbyterian Church in Okmulgee. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
On September 8, 1948 she married Ward Lee Hall and the couple moved to Austin and San Antonio, Texas; Ardmore, Oklahoma and Denver, Colorado before they moved to Oklahoma City in 1965. She was a member of the Oklahoma City Geologists; Wives Club, a gourmet group, a book club, the Philharmonic and the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Town Halls.
She is survived by her husband, Ward; son, Steven Michael Hall; daughter, Mary Beth Becker and husband Kim; grandson, T.J. Becker.
