She was born December 31, 1926 to Clarence Holland Lee and Myrtle Reba (Woods) Lee in Wilson, Oklahoma. She attended school at Wilson Public Schools and later graduated from McLish High School in Fittstown, Oklahoma.
After high school she attended East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma and later moved to Oklahoma City where she worked for several years as chief telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. While living in Oklahoma City she met a handsome young law student, Duane Lobaugh. They married April 14, 1949 and were married 46 years at the time of his passing in 1995. They made their home in Oklahoma City except for a few years that they resided in the Dallas, Texas area. She saw her primary responsibility as a mother and wife but after all the girls had graduated from high school she went to work for C.L. Frates and Company until her retirement.
She was a lifelong member of Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. She was also a member of “First Families of Oklahoma” as her mother and ancestors had settled in Indian Territory prior to statehood.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Reba Lee; her husband, Duane; son-in-law, John Martin; and her best friend, Lanelle Meeker.
She is survived by her 4 daughters: Candi Bowman, Camisa Stewart Cummings (Les), Chauri Martin, and Holly Wennersten (Phil) whom she was very proud of; 9 grandchildren and their spouses: Scott and Chandra Stewart, Kristy Martin, Brandon and NaaAfi Martin, Kelly and Austin Hacker all of Oklahoma City, Tyler, Anna and Jack Wennersten of Edmond, OK, Stacy Martin of Dallas, Texas, and Amanda Bowman of Denver, Colorado; and 11 great-grandchildren: Allie Funderburgh, Addison Stewart, Quinn Stewart, Jaxon Martin, Anthony Martin, Braylon Martin, Dylan Martin, Jordyn Martin, Emerson Hacker, and Finn Hacker all of Oklahoma City and Arianna Martin of Dallas, Texas.
The sisters and their families would first like to thank Holly and Phil Wennersten as well as Tyler, Anna and Jack who cared for Mom in their home for 10 years. Due to poor mobility it was necessary for her to move to assisted living. Unfortunately, she had a fall resulting in a hip fracture that preceded her slow downhill course. We also thank the staff of Timbers Nursing Center in Edmond, Oklahoma for their tireless care of our mother and for the angels of Good Shepherd Hospice. Their excellent care of Mom and support of our family have helped make her and our difficult journey less painful.
