

Phyllis Dionne Baker of Edmond, OK entered into eternity with her Lord and Savior on August 10, 2014. Phyllis was born March 13, 1943 in Roff, OK to Minnie and Ivno Gay. She was the wife of the late Darrell Baker of Edmond. She is the mother of Clayton McDaniel, mother-in-law of Gina McDaniel, Nana to her grandson Josh McDaniel who is the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Minnie and Ivno Gay, and her brother Vern Gay.
She is survived by her loving sister Betty Dawn and husband Marlin Wimberley, beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She leaves behind special friends and family members Peggy Smith, Jim Porter (cousin of her late husband) and his wife Monna, who have stayed by her side through her storms, both good days and bad. Phyllis was a gifted artist and upon her retirement from 25 years with Maclandburg Duncan, she became “co-owner” of her husband’s business, “Wood Chips”. He was also gifted in wood art and together they enjoyed showing and selling their art. Phyllis also leaves behind her many artist friends who together shared their artistic gifts and talents. We are conforted by knowing Phyllis is with God and His angels. Life is a journey and now she has reached her destination. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel.
