

Robert (Bob) P Burger Sr., 87 of Edmond, OK, died January 10, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on April 17, 1937, to Valentine and Theresa (Kleer) Burger in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Detroit, served in the Navy, then went to work for GM. He was transferred to Kansas City, Kansas in 1965, then moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1967, where he lived for 20 years. He and his family moved to Edmond, OK in 1987. Bob was married to Nancy Burger on September 8, 1962, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Detroit.
Bob's hobbies included playing the accordion whenever there was an occasion, whether it be in the backyard, at Time Out at church, weddings, and anytime someone wanted to listen to him play. He loved playing Santa Claus and his wife, Nancy, who was Mrs. Claus. He enjoyed making the secret family recipe for German sausage, that was passed down from generation to generation. His family was most important to him, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he attended Mass daily. He was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.
He is survived by three sons, Bobby and his wife Mary of Edmond, OK, Ken and his wife Tonya of Moore, OK and David of Porum, OK and his six grandchildren, Zack, Kimberly, Kylie, Shane, Haley, and Brandon, and five great grandchildren, Paqi, Braden, Wesson, Liam, and Phoenix.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy, parents, brother and his great grandson, Robert Ruger. Family request memorial donations be made to Sister BJ's Pantry, 819 NW 4th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
A rosary will take place Monday, January 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway Edmond, OK.
A Christian Mass will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 900 Littler Ave. Edmond, OK 73034.
