Seth is survived by his mother, Kristen Moon, father, Christopher Moon, sister, Mackenzie Moon, grandparents, Terry and Cindy Kyle, and grandmother, Connie Mercer, step grandmother, Diane Moon, and many other loved ones including aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Seth was diagnosed with autism and was gifted with artistic talent. He taught himself 3-dimensional perspective art at the age of 7. Seth was covered in a Fox 25 News segment in December 2019 which featured some of his artwork. He had drawn self-portraits of all the Edmond North High School staff including teachers, administration, lunch staff, etc. for a total of 208 drawings over an 11-month period. This artwork was displayed during his Senior Year of high school in honor of him. Thank you to Seth's teachers such as Cara Bowerman, Jennifer Henry, Raeann Case, Rochelle Loney, tutors Caleb Braudrick, Lindsey Hayes, and Jeremy Medders, Erica Nkechi, and all the countless other teachers, paraprofessionals and staff that were inspirational in Seth’s life and helped him to obtain many services and hone in on his special gifts. Seth graduated from Edmond North High School in 2019.
Seth also participated in art programs through Autism Oklahoma including the Duets grant with Ms. Dee Blose. This program involved a typical artist and an artist with autism creating works of art together. His art has been displayed at the Paseo Arts and Creativity Center in the Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City, OK, and he has a final showing on Friday, April 7, 2023. His art will then be displayed throughout the month of April.
Seth had a love for music including classic rock, folk music, 70’s and 80’s pop, etc. He could often be seen with headphones carrying around his iPad and sometimes dancing to his music. Teachers including Mrs. Bowerman, used a playlist of music to inspire Seth to create some of his best work.
Seth loved to be “on the go”, including participating in the Aktion Club service group for adults with disabilities, Autism Oklahoma social mixers, and bowling with special needs peers. He had a photographic memory when it came to directions and loved to go on car rides each day. Seth would pick various locations in the metro based on that memory. He also loved to travel and went with his family to the Grand Canyon in the summer of 2021 and to Orange Beach, AL off the Gulf Coast this past fall break. Disneyworld was next, but sadly God had other plans.
Seth, everyone in this world hates that you are gone but is happy that you are home. You lit up our lives, and we will always love and miss you until we can meet again.
Seth’s family wishes to thank the hospital staff at Mercy in Ada, OK for all the time they spent with Seth, even though it was short, and the care they gave during the heartbreaking final moments of Seth’s amazing life.
In honor of Seth’s life and to continue to celebrate him, please take the time to enjoy his artwork at the Paseo Arts and Creativity Center, 3024 Paseo, Oklahoma City, OK 73103.
Services will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S.
