She spent most of her life living in the central valley of California. In 2009, Sharon and her husband, Robert, moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, to be closer to their daughter, Andrea, and their two grandchildren.
Sharon had many passions; number one was traveling throughout the southern and eastern states of the United States. The southern states were of particular interest to her, given her love of Civil War history. For many years she and Robert traveled the backroads of Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama, in their car, looking for battlefield sites, historical markers, and plantation homes. She loved the people, the architecture, the food, and the foliage found in the southern states. She often said she even enjoyed the humidity, as they often traveled during the hottest months of the year.
Another passion of hers was the planning of and tending to her front and backyard landscape. She kept Robert busy laying brick pathways, constructing pergolas, and growing the snipped plants/vines they brought back from their travels in the south. In Stockton, California, her backyard truly looked like something out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
Sharon’s passion for genealogy began later in life; she embraced it and enjoyed it as much as her travels and gardening. Her research took her to other states, allowing her to meet new people and forge new friendships.
Her last passion and love were her pets. She owned many Chow Chow dogs, male and female, in varying colors throughout the years. She loved them all, especially Boudreaux; they shared a special connection.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Edna Weaver, and her brother, Kevin Weaver.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Isbell of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Andrea Navarro, and husband, John of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Ashley Sandlin and husband, Justin of Sarasota, Florida; grandson, Quinn Navarro, of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Sandra Willis and husband, Bob of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sister-in-laws, Margaret Horn, and husband, Gene and Carla Weaver; brother-in-law, James Isbell, and wife, Marylou; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
