

a smile on her face, surrounded by her children and loved ones, on November 3,
2013, after a two-and-a-half year battle with breast cancer.
Theresa was born in Keokuk, IA, on January 15, 1949, the daughter of John L.
and Kathryn Ladene McAndrew. She grew up in Burlington, IA, but graduated
from Clark County R-1 High School in Kahoka, MO, in 1967. She continued on
to receive a B.A. in Home Economics from Northeast Missouri State in Kirksville,
MO.
Theresa worked at Edmond Memorial Hospital in Edmond, OK, for 12 years as
the Food Service Manager; and most recently, was the owner of the Ultimate
Cheesecake Bakery in Edmond, OK, for her last 18 years. She enjoyed traveling
abroad with her sisters, and spending time with her children, her grandchildren
and her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. She became
an avid baseball fan because of her sons’ and grandsons’ love of the sport and
she took pride in attending their games.
Theresa is survived by two sons, Chris Baker, and his girlfriend Jennifer
Haworth, of Yukon, OK; Troy Baker, and his wife Diane, of Edmond, OK; and one
daughter, Kelly Gatewood, and her husband Brian, of Edmond, OK; and two
grandsons: Jared Baker and Kasen Gatewood; and three granddaughters:
Tenley Baker, Daltyn Baker and Bristol Gatewood; her father, John L. “Jack”
McAndrew, of Marble Falls, TX; her brothers and sisters: Jeanne Samii, and her
husband Mark, of San Antonio, TX; Mark McAndrew, of McKinney, TX; Lucinda
Logsdon, of Phoenix, AZ; Melinda Roberts, and her husband George, of San
Antonio, TX; and Michael McAndrew, of Prosper, TX; and numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
Theresa is preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Ladene McAndrew, and her
brother John L. McAndrew, III.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Aleda A. Toma, MD, of Cancer Specialists of
Oklahoma, and Frontier Hospice, for their exceptional care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 8, 2013, at
Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK, 73034. Theresa has
requested casual attire at the service—suits will be collected at the door!
