Alma Evelyn Cholak

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Cousin, and best friend. On February 4, 2022, Alma Cholak (Arnfinson) passed away at the age of 88 years old at the Grey Nuns Hospital. Alma was born on October 30, 1933, in Lac La Biche, Alberta. She moved to Edmonton where she met Mike and they started their true love story.

Alma will be missed by everyone whose heart she touched. Her ability to make you feel a part of her family was her speciality. She was a very kind-hearted woman who always left a lasting impression. Alma was a bright spark in this world and her genuine passion for life resonated.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving child Kelly Cholak, daughter-in -law Terry Cholak, grandchildren Justin (Erin) Cholak and Melissa Cholak Beck, great grandchildren Sonny Beck, Vienna and Rickson Cholak. She also leaves behind her sisters Helen Arnfinson, Anna Maloney, and sister-in-law Ruth Arnfinson. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews and relatives, her Safeway coffee girls, neighbours, and new friends from Silver Birch Lodge.

She was predeceased by her loving and wonderful husband Mike Cholak, with whom she had been married 68 years, parents Marie Delman Bourque and Mike Anrfinson, her son Rick Cholak, brothers Barney and Raymond Arnfinson, and sisters Teddy Bridges and Mabel Rowe.

A Celebration of life will be held at Memories Funeral Home on February 18, 2022, at 10:00 am.
