Andrew Ross Deveau

Peacefully and surrounded by family and friends, Andy, aged 57 passed away at the Royal Alex on Dec 7 at 4 pm. Predeceased by his father, Henry Joseph, Andy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Laurie, his son Ryan (Dylan), daughter Megan (Joseph), mother Myrtle, brother Stewart (Joanne), sister Barb (Frank) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Andy’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the dedicated care he received at ICU Royal Alex and his many years of care at the dialysis unit at Royal Alex. Along with his nephrologists Dr. Markland, Dr. Deved, Dr. Pisani and Dr. Michalska.

Andy proudly served in the Royal Canadian Airforce for 20 years, was a volunteer firefighter and devoted untold hours to bettering the communities he lived in. Andy loved his family and treasured his friends above everything.

An open service for those who would like to celebrate his life and say goodbye will be held on Wednesday, Dec 13 at 1pm at the Chapel of St. Luke and St. John (bldg 182 - corner of Mons Avenue and San Fortunado Cres in Lancaster Park - CFB Edmonton).

In lieu of flowers the family would gratefully appreciate donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Dialysis unit at the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Andy’s name.
