We are sad to announce that Carole MacArthur died peacefully in Edmonton, Alberta on August 28, 2017. She is survived by her two children, Carly and Charles (Sara Kallal), as well as her five siblings: Bill, Kathleen, Patricia, Lorne and Deborah and their respective families. She was born on June 20,1950 in Montreal, Quebec to Charles and Elizabeth (Lugsdin) Brady. She survived polio as a child, a physical setback but her feisty nature remained strong. Her warmth and generosity of heart was carried throughout her life as a mother and in her work in helping others. From lifeguarding as a teenager, through to her long career as a nurse, up to her role as a teacher’s aide helping children, Carole found unique ways to connect with everyone. She would never hesitate to get up to dance or sing, including a solid Louis Armstrong impersonation. She was a devoted pet owner to Thumper and Libby. Despite her amazing cooking skills, she still somehow managed to consistently ruin Kraft dinner, but her children forgave her for this. Her laughter was infectious. She will be missed by many. You are welcome to join us in honouring her passing on Tuesday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 Vital Ave, St. Albert. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
