Denna Darlene Morris

Born in Bengough, Sask., May 12, 1946, she lived her early years in Devon, AB before the family moved to Saskatchewan in her teen years and that is where she met her first husband, Don Taylor and together, raised their two sons in Regina. Denna was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She loved music, played the piano and sang in many choirs. She enjoyed travelling with their "camper trailer", visiting family and friends. Membership in the Majestics Car Club brought many road trips to "car shows" and "rod runs" over the years. After raising her family, she returned to the workforce which included a move to the lower mainland of BC where she married Peter Dudley and then moved to Gibson’s Landing, BC. Denna eventually returned home to Alberta and again lived in Devon, where she became an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Denna met William “Bill” Meheriuk in 2006 and they later married in 2013, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church became a big part of her life. They enjoyed acreage living in Ardrossan before retiring to Sherwood Park.

Denna will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, her children Jason Taylor & Ryan Taylor, Bill’s children Glenn (Margaret) Meheriuk & Melanie Swanson, and her grandchildren Charlotte & Liam, Bill’s grandchildren Sarah, Sean, Alexander, Jessica, Ivan, Krystal, Muriel and Raymond, as well as her siblings Donna Pringle, Marjorie Innes (Brian), James Morris, Brian Morris (Janice) along with seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her infant son Devon, Donald Taylor, Peter Dudley and her parents Bud and Dorothy Morris.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34th Ave., Edmonton. Following the service, relatives and friends are invited to join the family for lunch. A family graveside service will be held in the Peace Cemetery, Devon, AB.
