She will be lovingly remembered by her four sons: Daryl (Christine), David (Nancy), Kevin (Tracy), and Richard (Carol); daughter-in-law, Edna; five granddaughters: Lisa, Kelsey, Andrea, Maia, and Kristyna; two grandsons: Sean and Kieran; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Don (Marlo) Krebs. Doris was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Emanuel Jacob, in 1998 and her eldest son, Laurence Edward, in 2002.
Mom was cheerful, outgoing and loving, and very proud of her sons and their families. A naturally social person, all who met her enjoyed her welcoming smile and jovial nature. She will be sadly missed by all she touched.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., at First Memorial- Harmony Chapel at 10541 – 81 Avenue, Edmonton.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Southminster/Steinhauer United Church at 10740 – 19 Avenue, Edmonton.
