Elaine was dedicated to her family and friends and will be remembered for her infectious laugh, quick wit, and love of animals. In her home, all guests were showered with kindness, food, and endless amounts of baking.
In addition to her dedication to family and friends, she was equally devoted to her career. Elaine earned her Operating Room Technician (ORT) certificate in 1968 and spent most of her 50-year career at the Misericordia Hospital, choosing to retire at the age of 69. As a 30-year member of the “Flying Fingers” bowling team she loved to socialize and have fun.
Elaine passed away after a difficult battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Gordon, and two children, Neil and Heather (Brian) Cook; mother, Irene Wirth; brothers, Gary (Glenda) and Ryan (Debbie) and sister, Karen (Bill) Konlup.
