Eleanor Olive Rongve

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Richard (Jasanna), Doug (Kathy), and Cheryl (Doug) and two grandchildren Robert and Amy. Eleanor will also be fondly remembered by her brother Don (Beth), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Wayne, her brother Norman and her parents.

Eleanor was born in Lashburn, SK on March 28, 1934, graduated high school and completed nursing training at St Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. She later became a registered nurse and worked in many hospitals and in a doctor’s office. Mom’s favorite was working in the maternity ward. Mom never stopped learning and would not shy away from a challenge. Her passions were her family, friends, her dogs, gardening, reading, cooking and entertaining. She made hosting dinner parties for 25+ guests look effortless. We already miss her dearly.

In honor of Eleanor’s wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thank you and appreciation to Dr. Andruchow, Dr Kivi and the staff at Exquisicare, Devonshire Manor, Home Instead and Chartwell for the care they provided mom.
