Born on January 14, 1948 in Berbice, Guyana to Benny and Rajia Persaud. Geer attended Bookers Sugar Estates Apprentice Training Centre. Excelling at this job, he was sent to work in Nairobi, Kenya for a year. After coming to Canada, he worked as a Machinist for Texflo Machining for 30 years.
Geer was known for his love of music, spending time with his family and of course his pride and joy, his grandchildren. He had a generous spirit and an amazing sense of humor. Geer made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Geer is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby Persaud. Daughter Satty and son-in-law Daniel Shrubb, Son Rajesh and wife Sharon, Son Ravi (Nav) and wife Sona Kotak, and son Roy Persaud. Grandchildren: Ryan, Angie, Siyra, Ana and Ella.
A funeral will be held on March 26th, 2026 at 2pm at Hainstock’s Funeral Home & Crematorium.
