With broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Graham Mark Challand.
Graham was born in Turner Valley, Alberta on Sept. 20, 1944 to parents Goldie Viola and Harry Melbourne Challand.
Due to Graham's dad being in the oil patch, they lived in several locations until the death of his father in 1957 at which time they relocated to Calgary. Graham himself joined the oil patch at the age of 18 which enabled him to travel to many different parts of the world.
Graham met the love of his life, Linda, in 1974. They were married in 1977. He raised her two children Don and Sheri and then in 1979 Crystal was born. He was the best father in the world and the best friend a person could ask for.
He is lovingly remembered by his loving wife Linda and his three children Don (Thao), Sheri (Mike) and Crystal, seven granddaughters, five great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and his grandpuppies Tank and Ellie.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Harlow, sisters Gloria and Jacquie and grandson Jeremy.
A Celebration of Graham's Life will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34th Ave, Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday August 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In honor of Graham, the family requests you wear your best pair of jeans or something you will be comfortable in.
