Heather Leona Wall

March 6, 1942 – September 25, 2020

With deep sorrow, the family of Heather Wall announce her peaceful passing on September 25, 2020, at the age of 78 years. Heather was born in Hardisty AB to Bill and Margaret Mitchell, and grew up on the family farm close to Czar. After graduation from Central High School in Hughenden, she entered the Nursing program at the University of Alberta. After graduation, she worked at Glenrose Hospital in Edmonton, where she worked for the duration of her nursing career.

Heather was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Margaret Mitchell and her sister, Ann Peterson. She leaves to mourn her siblings, Dave (Shirley), Frank (Ann), her son Rob, and her beloved grandchildren Naomi and Declan and their mother Yvonne, as well as her nieces and nephews and many life-long and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on October 17, 2020 at 3 pm at Hainstocks Funeral Home. Due to restriction on the size of public gatherings at this time, spaces for attendance will be limited. If you wish to attend, please contact the family at [email protected] to inquire about attendance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alberta Alzheimer Society or the St Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital Palliative care unit.
