Good Morning

I just heard about the untimely demise of my friend Jim Kinal. He was a great friend of mine and he always helped me with accounting and tax advice.

My sincere condolences to his family.

Claudette and Family,

I am deeply sad to hear about Jim’s passing.  He was a good friend to me who I greatly respected, trusted and cared about.  I’ll miss his directness, intelligence and sense of humour.  I’m a better person for having known him.  All the best to all of you in this difficult time.




So, I met Jim when his office co-mingled with another client of mine, way back when I had hair...30+ years ago.  We quickly became friends, gave him my business and I've never worried about my financial stuff ever again (so our conversations ever since have been 4% money and 96% travel, sports, cars, industry and travel - lol)....over the years it was obvious he treated everyone similarly, made challenges go away, always connecting to people personally and always gave his time generously.  You just can't say that about everyone.....  I always was stealing his candy and he then turned into a candy pusher and made me steal more.  I always chuckled about that...... To Claudette and the entire family, I have only to say he was just a really great and special person in my life, and I'm really sad to realize that father time is still undefeated. Shocked and saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. He and I worked together managing St. Thomas More Knights Hockey and he was skilled at stick-handling around every difficult situation we found ourselves in. Jim was a great guy that always faced issues with a sense of humour. He joins brother, Larry far too soon. My deepest condolences, Claudette and kids. 


We remember Jim as a fun loving man. It was so nice to go out for dinner with you two a few years back and talk about life, our families and memories of our past. Our deepest condolences to you Claudette and family.❤️

Dear Claudette and family. 

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was a big part of the Pombert family. I first met Jim at my Uncle Moe's Texaco service station where we both pumped gas. We were 15 years old. His smile and the many conversation's  we shared over the years, both business and personal will be greatly missed.

So sorry what a loss our thoughts are with you and your family.   I had the pleasure of working with Jim as both a client of his and his company a client of mine for over 25yrs and I have to say he was one of the great ones.  Always had a smile on his face and always made time to talk even when he was swamped during tax season.  The time I think he most shocked me was when he got his first BMW I was like wow I thought accountants only drove sensible cars like Toyotas :)  His tales of vacations and then RV'ing were awesome and will be missed.   Here's to one of the great guys that left us toon soon he will not be forgotten

Although I dealt mostly on a professional level with Jim, he always treated me kindly and I felt our relationship had a true personal level, which I always did appreciate.
