Rudy was a World War II Vet, stationed in England and Germany and shared a lot of memories of the war with his family and friends. He ventured overseas in the 60's to Nigeria and moved his family to Cairo Egypt as he worked on the offshore rigs as an electrician. From there they moved to Warburg AB in the field of electrical for the oilfield until retiring in 1989. During their retirement they travelled as snowbirds to Texas and went on numerous fishing trips across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Rudy and Vangie moved from Warburg to Leduc and shortly after the move Vangie passed away and Rudy moved into Plain View Manor in Leduc. There he met new friends and staff members that spoke highly of him and treated him with the utmost respect.
In the 95 years of his life he touched everyone's life with his humour, stories, songs and train rides. We will miss him everyday as we have mom also but he has now made his journey to be with his love.
