

Sardar Manjit Singh Lyall passed away suddenly Tuesday June 5, 2012 at his residence in Edmonton, Alberta due to heart failure.
Manjit was born January 2, 1946 in the village Malomazara district Jalandhar, Punjab India. He graduated from Institute of Industrial Training in Ludhiana Punjab as a CNC Machinist in 1967. Although he first pursued job interests in India and Europe, he finally settled in Edmonton, Alberta in 1974. Later that same year he returned to India to marry Harbhajan Kaur Lyall . He is predeceased by his first born daughter, Dolly Lyall, who passed away in 1977 due to complications with leukemia. Later he had 2 sons Ravinder Singh Lyall and Kulvinder (Mickey) Singh Lyall in 1978 and 1980.
He was a very multi- talented individual and loved working with his hands. He was a quick learner and never let age stop him in learning new things. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and often helped others is need.
He is survived by his wife Sardarni Harbhjan Kaur Lyall, his sons Mickey Singh Lyall, Ravinder Singh Lyall, daughter in law Sonia Kaur Lyall and granddaughter Areya Kaur Lyall. Also is survived by his brother Kamal Singh Lyall and sister Daljit Kaur Mann.
