Margaret Melnyk

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Melnyk (Papirny) on June 4th, 2025 at the age of 98.

Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children, Vivian (Randy), Mel (Carolyn) and Jackie; 4 grandchildren Dawn, Dale (Nicole), Daylene and Trevor (Natasha); 6 great grandchildren, Austin, Ayden, Rowan, Emmett, Lauren and Julia; 1 brother Metro (Flo) Papirny and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Peter Melnyk in 2005; her parents Mary (Doonanco) Papirny and Dmetro Papirny; 4 sisters Ann Moskalyk, Lily Dermo, Lena Hnatiuk, and Vera Shiller; 6 brothers, Harry, Tom, Jim, Jack, Mike and Jack Diamond.

A funeral Service will be held on June 13th @ 10am at Hainstock's Funeral Home and Crematorium 9810 34th Avenue Edmonton, with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens 16102 Fort Road Edmonton.

We would like to give thanks to the staff at Capital Care Dickinsfield unit 2C for the kindness and care given to Margaret.
