Margaret Murray Miles

Margaret (nee Reid) died in her 95th year, at the Sherwood Care Centre where she had been living for the last 3 1/2years.

Born in Buckie, Scotland to Hannah and Alex Reid, the family came to Canada when Mom was 4. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary and Audrey; and brother, Sandy; as well as her parents and husband, Harry (1973).

She leaves behind her children, Patricia (Rob) and Paul; as well as her adored grandchildren, Tim (Emma) and Kirstin (Ryan). She was delighted in getting to know her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ella, Evan and Violet. Mom is survived by one sister, Nan of Fenelon Falls; brother-in-law, Jim Beal of Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom lived in five of Canada’s provinces following Harry’s work. Her life was characterized by her deep faith in her God of Love and Justice. She took delight in relationships with family and friends as a grace-filled individual.

Special thanks are extended to the team of exceptional and compassionate caregivers at Sherwood Care Centre as well as thanks to Dr. Trent Dusang. She counted the staff as her friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sherwood Care Centre, 2020 Brentwood Blvd, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 0X1 or Sherwood Park United Church, 20 Fir Street, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 1Z6. Cremation has taken place. At her request a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
