

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Josphine Dupuis at the golden age of 95 years on August 31, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert, AB.
Mary is survived by her children Bulah (Adam) Sarnecki, Linda (Allan) Wood, Jeanne (Gary) Welsh, Patrick (Corlis) Dupuis, Jason (Clarisa) Dupuis; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her younger sisters Olga, Jenny and Pat; numerous nieces, nephews, who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Katherine Cirka, her sister Helen and her husband, Patrick in 1997.
Mary was born in McLennan, AB. She and her husband Patrick moved to High Prairie, AB where they spent a great part of their lives. She worked in retail for many years and was active in the Order of Royal Purple. They later moved to Edmonton, where Mary continued to live for another 31 years. She enjoyed the last three years living at Shepards Care Kensington Village with two of her sisters. Mary enjoyed travelling and spending time with family and friends. She spent much time with Linda and Glen Jensen and their family in Dawson Creek B.C. who will miss visiting with her. Mary will always be remembered for her kind heart and warm smile.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Shepards Care Kensington Village for their kind and loving care given to Mary in the last few years as well as to Dr. O. Soyege who paid many visits to Mary at the senior’s home. He always gave her great care, greeted with big smiles. We wish to also express our sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Sturgeon hospital.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be announced at a later date.
