Myra Jane Oudyk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myra Jane Oudyk (Pratt), age 72, the morning of September 11, 2025. She went peacefully, surrounded by her family and love. Myra is survived by her husband Ron, sons Brian and Jeff, daughters-in-law Miranda and Kym, four incredible grandchildren Harper, Eliot, Millie and Hazel, and siblings James, Michael, Carol and Sharon. Myra is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Katherine, sister Tanis, and brother Dave.

Myra was born June 29, 1953 in Goose Bay, Labrador. As an Air Force brat, she spent much of her childhood moving across the country before making Edmonton her home in 1969. While working in 1974, she would meet Ron for the first time, and so would begin their incredible journey. So too began her love for travel as she would cross the Atlantic many times to visit her beloved family in the Netherlands.

After staying at home to raise their sons, Myra returned to school in her 40's to pursue an Accounting designation at NAIT. Myra was often found at the hockey arena, rugby pitch, baseball diamond, or speed skating track, supporting her sons. Ron and Myra enjoyed supporting the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos, spending time with their dogs, and curling. She and Ron even earned the title of Alberta mixed curling champions in 1988.

Myra was a great cook and known for her delicious prime rib. She enjoyed laughing at the dinner table with family and friends and spending time spoiling her grandchildren. Myra will be deeply missed.

We will hold a Celebration of Life for Myra at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club Tuesday October 7, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
