Shanti and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Wendy, David and Adam. Sorry for your loss. I have worked with Norm for almost 25 years and always remember that he was a good, kind and gentle person. He was a light hearted friend who always made us smile. The world has lost a wonderful man who has been a devoted father and husband, and a good friend to all. I will always cherish wonderful memories that I had with Norm.

Norm, you truly were one a of a kind. I enjoyed your wit and humour at work. Rest in peace.

What a lovely service you put together for Norm.  I was not able to be there in person, but watched online.
The poems and stories were great.
I have many fond memories on the lanes with Norm, coaching with and against him.
His sense of humour was wicked and will be missed.

To my husband,  we met when I was 19 years old and you were 22.  We spent 40+ years together.  We had good times, bad times and rocky times, but the respect and love we had for each other never wavered.   You’ve gone on to visit those who left before.  You were a great father to our boys. Wendy, David, Adam, so shocked at Norms passing, has been a friend for over 30 years, worked with him for 28 years. His greatest pride were the three of you. His health issues made life a challenge but I cant  ever remember him complaining. 
Heaven has gained a gentle Angel, but he will be very much missed and never forgotten

Our condolences on Norman’s passing. We first met Norman at Norwood Dialysis Clinic at the end of February 2024. It was Raymond’s first time there, not long after his kidneys failed. We were so scared, but were introduced to Norman as a great resource. Wow, was he ever! He answered so many questions that first night and calmed our fears, but that was just the beginning of the conversations. We so enjoyed going to dialysis and visiting with Norman every week. He will be dearly missed and always remembered by both of us.

My condolences to the Sellgren family. I met Norm  in the mid 1990’s in Collections. He was a “one of a kind” guy with a witty sense of humour and a gruff exterior.  Once you got to know Norm, you knew he had a heart of gold.  He  always made a person feel welcome and part of the team. You will be missed Norm.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so grateful to have had the privilege of doing Norm's hair all those years, as he consistently brightened my day with his radiant spirit, despite the health challenges he faced.

Rest in peace Norm, you will be missed.   You are a moustache-ioed character that cannot easily be forgotten.  When I first started work 18 years ago, you surprised this then young lady with your bold opinions and cheeky sense of humor with the intent to make me feel welcome.  I soon discovered a heart of gold underneath that gruff demeanor, you always looked to put a smile on someone's face and reminded me not to sweat the small stuff.  Thank you for sharing your stories, your knowledge and your good humor Norm.

Wendy, David and Adam, we are so very sorry for your loss.  Norm will forever remain a legend in our family. More than twenty years have passed and we still tell stories of his shenanigans with the boys at daycare. Sending love your way.

Norman, some of us go through life not knowing how fortunate we are; others, like yourself accept life with no complaints and make the best of it.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I never got to meet Norm in person but we were facebook friends for several years and I enjoyed his comments on the items we shared. I will remember him as a friend.
David and Adam I know  he was proud of the men that you have grown to be.

So sad to hear of Norms passing. We worked together in collections on a few teams and he was a great friend and confidant. We could carry-on and banter for a period of time to liven up the team. 
We would exchange ideas on files and brainstorm actions. He was a good source of information

It’s been a rough couple days without you hanging around dad, I miss you deeply and will forever cherish all the memories we made and the laughs we had. 
I will forever miss you and you will forever have a massive spot in my heart. 
You may no longer be with us but spiritually you’ll forever be with us. 
I miss you more and more everyday, but most importantly I’ll forever love you.

Sometimes along the journey of our lives we meet friends that touch our hearts. Norm and I were kindred spirits, to ourselves we were pranksters and comedians alike. Norm was great at connecting to people. He held their best interest in mind and was so good at resolving conflict. He was a balance in the workplace. Such resilience he lived with. Bounced back from so many things. He spoke of Wendy and the boys often, we would make each other laugh with our stories from the weekends. Every day with his family was cherished, all the moments of joy and adventure.  He will be watching over the family with wings of light and sending his love through memories. We send our love to you, he cherished you three.

Where do I start. I met Norm at work in the early 90’s. He was always so helpful and kind. I  thought of him as an older brother, when he would give me advice some I took and some not.  For the longest time I was referred to as his work wife. A job I took very serious. When I retired I still thought of Norm often  and we would talk once in a while and continue as if no time had passed.  Going to miss this chats. 

He was so proud when he became a father to David and then Adam who came along a few years later.  

David and Adam my advice is, cherish all the memories of your trips that you all took as a family and activities you both pursued from youth bowling, lacrosse and Taekwondo.   He will always be on the sidelines cheering you both on.

Wendy and family. I used to work at EGH Dialysis unit. I knew Norm before his last transplant and again had him for my patient first day he came back to us after his transplant failed.  I retired 5 years ago. I remember Norm with great fondness.  A little cranky at times, but he had his reasons and that was not a bother to me. May he Rest in Peace and keep being Norm.  I know he will be missed..
