On December 16, 2009, Peter passed away at the age of 87 years at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans. He is survived by his wife Nola, daughters; Karen, Karla and Kelva, and two grandsons Todd and Shane Zelman. He will also be remembered by many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, six brothers and four sisters. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses, staff and Dr. Grewal at Kipnes for their warmth, humor and loving care. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.; with Pastor Mike McElroy officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta, 10530 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5H 4K1 or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 271 in St. Albert.
