two sons.
A native of Jamaica, Phyllis migrated first to the United Kingdom, then to Edmonton, where she has lived for over 40 years. Over the years she held a variety of positions including practical nurse, nanny and various caregiver positions. She loved children and cared for children under her care as if they were her own. She was also a lover of sacred and classical music. She loved God with all her heart and attended church regularly, singing and participating in community services outreach programs.
Phyllis is survived by a son and two daughters, three sisters, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends scattered throughout Canada, the UK, the United States and the Caribbean. She will be greatly missed.
