Rick is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years Leona (Newton) Bjarnason; sons Jared (Jovana) and Brendon (Shannon); grandchildren Finn, Archer and Teodora and brother Ron.
Rick was a devoted teacher/administrator. He was a talented drummer/musician and played in a number of bands over the years. He was a VIP golfer and enjoyed getting out for a round with the boys.
Rick enjoyed many summers with family and friends at Brightsand Lake. Rick was an avid walker and liked nothing better than walking every day. Rick will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
