Robert William Russell

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Robert William Russell who passed peacefully surrounded by his friends and family just before his 70th birthday.

Forever remembered by his wife Linda of 43 years, his son John, his daughter Carly, son-in-law Wes, beloved Grandson Wilder, brother David and family Evelyn, Ben, Colin, Daniel, and his sister Teresa. Predeceased by his parents Joanne and Bob Russell.

Robert was born on the West Coast of Canada where he spent his first years in Kye Bay and later moved to St. Albert where he went to school. It is here he met Linda, who lived just across the street from him before they were married. That same neighborhood became the foundation of their family life, where they raised their two children and built lasting memories together.

He was a man who valued reliability and commitment, qualities that shaped both his personal life and his career. Robert had a long career in the petroleum industry, a board member of the Glendale Golf Club where he was an avid golfer, and in his retirement he served on the condo board as the President.

Outside of work, Robert found his greatest happiness on the golf course, traveling and being by the ocean. Whether enjoying a round of golf or spending time near the water with his grandson, Robert appreciated life’s moments that were best shared with his family and friends who he was devoted to.
