Rosario Vocioni

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosario Vocioni, 69, of Edmonton, who left us peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by his cherished children.

Rosario was predeceased by his beloved parents, Rosaria (Iozzo) and Giuseppe Vocioni, and is survived by his spouse, Kim; his loving children: Tia, Antonio, Lauren, Rene, Shawn, and Michael; his adored grandchildren: Aspyn, Capri, and Benjamin; and his siblings: Tony, Amelia, Anna, Pino, Rita, and Hugo.

A devoted father and grandfather, Rosario poured his heart into his family, showing them boundless love and strength throughout his courageous 23-year battle with cancer. His resilience and determination inspired all who knew him, teaching us what it truly means to be a fighter.

Born in Calabria, Italy, Rosario immigrated to Canada as a young child, carrying with him a deep appreciation for his heritage and a dream for a better future. He channeled his passion and entrepreneurial spirit into building a thriving restaurant business in his neighborhood, where he became a fixture for over 32 years. Rosario’s warmth and dedication fostered lasting relationships with his customers, whom he cherished as friends, and he took pride in creating a welcoming space for all.

Rosario leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and connection that will forever be treasured by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
